Day 20 - Give Me Eyes

    01.27.18 | by 40 Day Team

Pray: “Lord God, I can’t believe You would trust me to deliver Your Good News, especially since I turn away from You time and time again. I'm like a little kid who gets distracted easily. I try hard to focus on You, but then the world asks me to come out and play and off I go. Please, God, I pray that You would fill me with Your Spirit and lead me forward down the path You’ve made for me. I want to walk by faith and please You in all that I do.”

    Round 1
Read I Thessalonians 2:4 and II Corinthians 5:6-8

    Round 2
Take 5 minutes to sit in a dark, quiet place and think of three situations in your life where you need to trust God to show you the way. Write them down. Next to each one write these words: Walk by faith, not by sight.

    Round 3
Take a walk today in a familiar place by yourself. Even if you are in a busy, crowded area, pay attention to the sights you see when you normally walk this path. See the world with God’s eyes. As you walk, ask God to open your eyes to the needs that surround you every day. When you finish your walk, write down a few of the needs God showed you today.

Listen to Give Me Your Eyes at this link and pray this: “Please, God, give me an opportunity to meet at least one of the needs you showed me today. I want to bring hope to others in all that I do.”
