Day 35 - Budget

    02.11.18 | by 40 Day Team

Read: Luke 14:28-30 "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?  Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish. "

    Round 1
Pray, “Father, I need wisdom on how to handle money.  I need understanding and a conviction that the money I have is yours, not mine.  Teach me this perspective.  Help me to manage the money you’ve entrusted to me responsibly, to further your kingdom.”

    Round 2
Read: Matthew 25:14-30, The Parable of the Talents.  (A talent is a former weight and unit of currency, used especially by the ancient Romans and Greeks) Write out verse 29.

    Round 3
Read these verses concerning your money/possessions from the wisest man to ever live. Choose one and write it out:

Proverbs 22:3 “The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.

Proverbs 24:3-4 By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Proverbs 27:23 Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds
