Giving Day 12 - Active Recovery Day 2

    03.04.18 | by Joe Dascenzo

Today is the second of two ACTIVE RECOVERY days in a row.*

The 40-Day Giving Challenge is focused on developing the discipline of generosity with the finances God entrusts us with. But that isn't the only focus. Generosity can also be developed in how we manage our time.

Giving up an hour a week has also been a way for you to be generous. How is that going? We are nearing the end of week 2 so you should be able to look back and think of a couple hours you have given to a family project or to your church or a local ministry. Write down where and how you gave away those two hours. By the end of the 40-Day Challenge you will have given away 6 hours of time!

If you are looking for a way to give your time and live in the South Chicago area, pray about packing meals at the Chicago Children's Fund in Homewood, Illinois on March 14 from 9am-11am or March 24 from 12:00-2:00pm. This is a great way to serve as a family during the lenten season.

Here's the link to sign up for either of those opportunities!

Catch up on any workouts you need to and if you are caught up, remember to set aside another $1—you should have $12 saved!

    Optional Bonus Round
    Write out Matthew 13:44-46.

    * Active recovery is a less intense day but still productive. If you are behind in the workouts, use today to go back and catch up.
