Every Tuesday from 06/05/2018 to 07/24/2018
This weekly art class will give kids an opportunity to learn about different artists and their styles. Each week they will work with a variety of different mediums to create their own masterpieces. Come dressed in clothes that can get messy!
All choir classes will perform one of their songs at the recital either on June 26 or July 24.
Parent/Tot - This class will give parents and their kids the opportunity to sing some songs, learn some fun dances, and make a joyful noise. Parents are required to stay the entire time. Ages 2-4.
Kids' Choir: Kids' Choir is a great opportunity for kids to use their voices as instruments. We will learn different choir pieces, harmonies, and vocal exercises.
Show Choir/Junior Show Choir: This class will combine singing and dancing into one activity. Kids will add choreography to songs, as well as learn text interpretation, facial and body expression, and many performance skills.
Vocal ensemble - vocal ensemble gives high school students an opportunity to gain experience singing in a group setting. Students will learn how to blend well with others, singing melody and harmony. We will sing worship songs to implement what we learn. Ages 14-17
All dance classes will perform one of their dances at the recital on either June 26 or July 24.
Parent/Tot: This class will be a fun way for parents to interact with their children. We will do mostly ballet throughout the course of the class but will eventually learn jazz as well. Parents are required to stay the entire time. Ages 2-4
Ages 5-9: This class will be half ballet and half jazz. We will focus on technique while also learning dances for each style.
Ages 10-13: This class will be a variety of styles for older kids. We will be doing ballet, jazz, and contemporary throughout this class with lots of different music.
INtro to guitar
This class will introduce students to a variety of tools to begin learning how to play the guitar. The students will learn the names of each string, 7 chords, and 3 strum patterns as well as the structure of how the guitar works. We will also learn a worship song together to put the techniques into practice.Students will end the 4 weeks by playing a group song at a recital on June 26 or July 24.
INtro to percussion
This class will introduce students to the world of percussion and rhythm. We will learn to play the cajon (Spanish drum), djembe (African drum), and the drums, as well as listen to all kinds of amazing music where percussion plays the main role. Students will end the 4 weeks by playing a group song at a recital on June 26.
Individual lessons: piano, guitar, drums, voice
All lessons are catered to each individual student, focusing on their specific strengths and their opportunities for growth. Students will end the 4 weeks by playing their choice song at a recital.
This class will introduce students to American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. The class will learn to sign the alphabet and numbers., how to introduce themselves, say their names and ages, sign their favorite colors and animals, as well as form basic sentences. At the end of the sessions we will also have learned a song translated into ASL that they will perform at a recital on June 26th.
