Second Place Lingo
Here are some words you might overhear at Second Place. Now you know what they mean!
The big room where all the chairs are is what we call the Warehouse.
i.e. “Hey Stan, save me a seat in the Warehouse, will ya?”
A lifestyle of intentionally passing on your faith to somone else, seven days a week.
i.e. “I finally decided to tell somebody my story, and now I love living SevenStyle.”
The area of Second Place Kids designed for super little people age zero to 24 months old.
i.e. “I never thought I could leave Jack in the Backyard, but he loves it there.”
The area of Second Place Kids designed for kids age 25 months to 5 years old.
i.e. “Katie won’t stop talking about all the Bible stories and crafts she gets to do in the Park.”
The area of Second Place Kids designed for kids grades Kindergarten to 4th grade.
i.e. “Hey mom, I can’t forget to bring my Bible to the Clubhouse tomorrow.”
The area of Second Place Kids designed for kids 5th to 6th grade.
i.e. "Hey dad, It's a second Sunday that means the Crossing meets today!"
Home groups are the best way to get the most out of Second Place message series. Groups meet at various times during the year and provide a way to connect, hang out, discuss issues related to faith and build relationships.
i.e. “Honey, we need to reschedule our vacation, home group is that week.”
A twelve-week experience designed for people to ask big life questions and discover the answers. ALPHA is offered twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring.
i.e. “Judy asked me if I really believe that God exists. She just needs to check out ALPHA.”
